Mycale

A mountain in the south of Ionia in Asia Minor, north of the mouth of the Maeander, and opposite the island of Samos. On the north side of the promontory near Priené was a great temple of Poseidon, where the Pan-Ionic festival was held (Pausan. v. 7, 3).

Here a great victory was gained by the Greeks over the Persian fleet on the same day as the battle of Plataea, B.C. 479. (Harpers Dictionary of Classical Antiquities, 1898)
